Jack Farritor

Principal Bull & Oak Properties

Upon graduating with an Economics degree from the University of Illinois, Jack became an options and futures trader at the Chicago Board of Trade.  He worked with industry leader Peak6 Investments and successfully formed a company to trade treasury options in the 5, 10, and 30-year pits and digital platforms. During his trading career, his teams provided public market liquidity and produced revenues of 30 million dollars for investors. During the last year of his trading career, he realized his niche as he analyzed commercial real estate opportunities. READ MORE +
In 2013 he transitioned to the commercial real estate arena. Jack’s career in real estate began at regional and nationally operating real estate firms in Chicago. He serviced clients in multi-family, industrial, and retail properties, focusing on sales, leasing, and property management advisory roles. During business meetings in Raleigh, North Carolina, Jack realized the perfect location to raise his growing family.  His love of all things Raleigh coincided with tremendous commercial opportunities in one of the fastest-growing markets in the country. As Vice President at Colliers International Raleigh, he concentrated on retail and industrial advisory services. His focus on acquisitions and investment sales advisory at CityPlat Commercial also provided valuable regional experience. Jack has advised on over 200 million dollars in commercial transactions.  Jack is excited to build Bull & Oak Properties into a premier real estate business with his partner and fellow avid real estate professional, Brant Ruben. Jack continually enhances his knowledge of innovative commercial real estate trends as a member of the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks, the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Jack’s contributions to maintaining Raleigh as a favored world-class destination include being an active philanthropist for Durham Rescue Mission, a long-standing charity in Raleigh-Durham that services homeless women and children. To maintain the highest quality of service for his clients, Jack is currently completing a Master’s in Real Estate from Georgetown University. Jack, his wife Elizabeth, and their four wonderful daughters are all actively involved in the community. They are eagerly expecting an addition to the family soon. Read Less –

BRANT RUBEN

Principal Bull & Oak Properties

Born in New York City and raised in northern New Jersey, Brant discovered Raleigh through his attendance at North Carolina State University.  Throughout his years on campus Brant eagerly explored his new hometown and found his forever home in the Research Triangle.  His time at NC State’s business school provided him with a knowledge base and lifelong friendships that continually enrich his life.  Raleigh’s culture and burgeoning economy has reinforced his love of North Carolina. He graduated from States’ Poole College of Management Cum Laude and has thrived in the Triangle ever since. READ MORE +
His appreciation for commercial real estate grew while still a student at State. Brant worked “hands-on” for a local developer as an assistant in their marketing and leasing endeavors. The training he received proved to be a pivotal experience which introduced him to the exciting world of investment real estate. Upon graduation, Brant followed in his father’s footsteps and successfully managed a securities portfolio.  He learned several portfolio strategies and techniques from his father and was determined to challenge himself by handling a multimillion-dollar portfolio.  While working with a national broker/dealer he earned his Series 7 and Series 66 and through his relationships, contacts, and tenacious analysis, grew his assets under management to over $30 million dollars. Having achieved his goal of increased financial acumen Brant refocused on real estate, his true passion. Brant further honed his real estate and investment knowledge during his three-year tenure at a national commercial construction software and information company.  He developed a special interest in commercial construction and began to fully understand the building process. Brant became the All-Time Top Producer at the Cary, North Carolina location where he set three individual sales records. Fueled by a desire to develop his own properties, Brant pursued working for a local development and investment firm downtown Raleigh as a commercial real estate broker.  Brant’s unique knowledge of investments and construction helped him thrive in the  industry as he was quickly able to identify and procure both multifamily housing development sites and value-add opportunities. After facilitating several highly successful transactions, he and his esteemed partner, Jack Farritor, established Bull & Oak Properties.  They stand committed to identifying lucrative initiatives while building long-term client relationships through the provision of consistent accessibility, trust, and results. Brant and his lovely wife Madison reside in Cary, North Carolina. They frequently host New York, New Jersey and Michigan friends and family who enjoy spending time in the Research Triangle.
