Upon graduating with an Economics degree from the University of Illinois, Jack became an options and futures trader at the Chicago Board of Trade. He worked with industry leader Peak6 Investments and successfully formed a company to trade treasury options in the 5, 10, and 30-year pits and digital platforms. During his trading career, his teams provided public market liquidity and produced revenues of 30 million dollars for investors. In 2013 he transitioned to the commercial real estate arena. Jack’s career in real estate began at regional and nationally operating real estate firms in Chicago. He serviced clients in multi-family, industrial, and retail properties, focusing on sales, leasing, and property management advisory roles. During business meetings in Raleigh, North Carolina, Jack realized the perfect location to raise his growing family. His love of all things Raleigh coincided with tremendous commercial opportunities in one of the fastest-growing markets in the country. As Vice President at Colliers International Raleigh, he concentrated on retail and industrial advisory services. His focus on acquisitions and investment sales advisory at CityPlat Commercial also provided valuable regional experience. Jack has advised on over 200 million dollars in commercial transactions. Jack is excited to build Bull & Oak Properties into a premier real estate business with his partner and fellow avid real estate professional, Brant Ruben. Jack continually enhances his knowledge of innovative commercial real estate trends as a member of the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks, the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Jack’s contributions to maintaining Raleigh as a favored world-class destination include being an active philanthropist for Durham Rescue Mission, a long-standing charity in Raleigh-Durham that services homeless women and children. To maintain the highest quality of service for his clients, Jack is currently completing a Master’s in Real Estate from Georgetown University.
